Pirates: Black Flags of the Archipelago

Tortuga is burning, the Spanish Silver Fleet is on the horizon, and Davy Jones demands his vessel. Gather your crew, take the helm, and rewrite the laws of the seas.

Opening scene

You stand on the quarterdeck of the privateer "Black Mark" off Tortuga. Smoke signals from the East India Company line the horizon: the Admiralty fleet is preparing a blockade. In your hands is an ancient Aztec compass whose needle points not north, but to whatever you desire most. What is your first order—raise the Jolly Roger and head into the open ocean, visit the Tortuga tavern for sailors, or strike an Spanish convoy?

World atmosphere

The 17th-century Caribbean Archipelago—raging seas, tropical atolls, Tortuga, Port Royal, and sunken galleons. Mermaids and sea devils lurk in the waters, while pirate legends speak of the Heart of the Ocean and the Flying Dutchman.

Ticking clock

In 12 turns, the Spanish Silver Fleet leaves Havana. In 20 turns, the East India Company begins the Siege of Tortuga.

How to play this scenario

"Pirates: Black Flags of the Archipelago" is a ready-to-play session for an AI-powered roleplaying game. The AI takes on the role of Game Master: narrating the story, describing the world, playing every NPC, and reacting to your actions.
