Opening scene
The neon lights of Sector 5 reflect in the dark water of the canal. A body floats near the pier, its cybernetic implants sparking. You pull it out to find the serial numbers carefully filed off. A data drive is hidden in the synthetic lung, but it's encrypted.
World atmosphere
Sector 5 is a run-down cyberpunk slum. The police are corrupt and refuse to investigate. The canal is a dumping ground for the corporate zones above, where waste and bodies occasionally fall.
Ticking clock
The body's implants will self-destruct in four hours, destroying all forensic evidence.
A story made personal
Your hero will have their own personal connection to this story — it's chosen at random when you create your character.
What is a "Detective" scenario
This is an investigation scenario. You gather clues, interrogate suspects, check alibis, and clear the innocent. The AI runs the game according to the genre's rules: every turn gives you a new lead, but it will never name the killer first — the ending only arrives once you point to the right person yourself and have gathered enough evidence.
How to play this scenario
"Body in the Neon Canal" is a ready-to-play session for an AI-powered roleplaying game. The AI takes on the role of Game Master: narrating the story, describing the world, playing every NPC, and reacting to your actions. It's a text-based RPG you can start playing right away — no prep, no need to find a Game Master. Solo — just you and the AI. With a friend — two players in the same story by invite.
